Rough, reasonably fat.

Pinnate (feather shaped) with spines

Suckering/Solitary:

Single or suckering. Suckers are usually removed if they are seen.

Maintenance:

Easy

Speed of growth:

Slow to medium.

Height:

30 feet plus

Soil requirements:

Sandy, slightly dry.

Sun Requirements:

Full sun

General Description:

A large single trunk palm with a silver green color and fairly good cold and tolerance.

Other Notes:

Females make the edible dates.

Further Data:

To get edible dates, need a female with a male of the same species in the area.  And, no other Phoenix species nearby.
