Chambeyronia hookeri, the Blond flame thrower palm

Locality:	New Caledonia Island (East of Australia)
Cold Hardiness:	28s F.
Trunk type:	Single trunk, smooth, crown shafted with a yellow-cream colored crown shaft.
Leaf type:	Pinnate, thick leaflets with burgundy red color to the newly emerging leaf. Just gorgeous!.
Suckering/Solitary:	Single
Maintenance:	Average
Speed of growth:	Somewhat slow
Height:	20 to 30 feet
Soil requirements:	Good drainage
Sun Requirements:	Initially in filtered light, working its way into full sun.
General Description:	A very beautiful crownshafted palm with dark green pinnate leaves. The treat is the new red leaf which turns to green over about a three to four week period.
Other Notes:	Similar to Chambeyronia macrocarpa but with the yellow colored crown shaft. Very sought after.
