General Description:

A small single trunk plant famous over the years as a houseplant, often planted in groups.  Seldom over four to five feet.  Thin trunk, dainty.  Does well in the garden.  

Other Notes:

Plants often passed on from generation to generation as they live a long time.  Never get tall.  Good house plant.  Known as the Parlor Palm
