Locality:

Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Cold Hardiness: 

Little, best for semi-tropical and warmer areas.  Perhaps possible in the warmest coast areas in Southern California.

Trunk type:

Clustering, fibrous and hairy.

Leaf type:

Plumose-like, pinnate (feather shape) leaves.

Suckering/Solitary:

Suckering (multiple trunks).

Maintenance:

Needs warm weather.

Speed of growth:

Slow to medium

Height:

20' feet or more

Soil requirements:

Sun Requirements:

Strong filtered or possibly full sun

General Description:

A very striking a beautiful suckering palm best suited for warmer areas.
