Brazil

Cold Hardiness: 

25-26s, F.

Trunk type:

This palm has a slender trunk, 4-6 inches.  The crown is brown and fibrous.

Leaf type:

Plumose (fluffy appearance), pinnate (feather shape) leaves.  The individual leaflets are very
slender with a white underside.

Suckering/Solitary:

Solitary (single trunk).

Maintenance:

Easy

Speed of growth:

Slow to moderate.

Height:

8-10 feet.

Soil requirements:

Normal.

Sun Requirements:

Shade or partial sun.

General Description:

This is a very nice slender palm.  It does well in darker areas and has dark green leaflets.  It can be grown in more sun along the coast, but tend to turn yellow.

Other Notes:

If you like this palm see Phoenix roebelenii.
